Taking lights down is worse than putting them up. It is January, the roof is icy, the strands are frozen to the gutter and the whole job feels like a chore instead of a celebration. Our customers never do it. Takedown is included with every install, scheduled automatically, and done by the same crew that put the lights up.
We remove every line, clip, cord, timer, wreath and tree wrap, check each piece as it comes down, and walk the property to make sure nothing was left behind and nothing was disturbed. Then it all goes to our storage facility, labeled with your name and design.
When takedown happens
Takedown runs through January, after New Year's, in the order homes were installed. If you want your lights up through a specific date, Epiphany, a January party, a late family visit, tell us and we will schedule around it. If you want them down the first week of January, we can do that too.
On days with ice on the roof we push the route a day for safety. Our crews never work a roof they would not want you to walk on.
No damage, ever
Because we install with clips designed for shingles, gutters and ridges instead of staples or nails, removal is clean. There are no holes in your fascia, no torn shingles, no staples left in the trim. We inspect as we go and note anything the lights revealed, like a loose gutter or a lifted shingle, so you know about it.
