Pricing explained
One number, once
Permanent lighting is priced per linear foot of roofline tracked, with adjustments for complexity. The quote covers the track, the lights, the controller, installation, app setup and our five-year warranty. After that there are no annual install, takedown or storage fees. For a home that lights up every year, the math usually favors permanent within several seasons, and the system is rated for 25+ years.
We install both permanent and seasonal lighting, so we will tell you honestly which makes sense for your home and how you use it.
What drives the price
- Linear feet of roofline tracked. The main factor. Front rooflines and garage only, or every eave, gable and dormer around the house.
- Peaks, corners and stories. Each gable and corner adds track, connectors and time. Second-story rooflines take longer.
- Fascia and soffit condition. Solid, straight fascia installs fastest. Older or irregular trim may need prep.
- Power location. The controller mounts near an exterior outlet; long runs to power add wiring.
- Extras. Outbuildings, fence lines, pergolas and rear rooflines facing a lake or fairway.
Permanent vs. seasonal over time
A seasonal display is a recurring annual cost for lights, install, maintenance, takedown and storage. A permanent system is a one-time cost plus electricity that amounts to a porch light. For most homes that light every year, the permanent system reaches break-even within several seasons and then runs for decades. It also does things seasonal lights cannot: Halloween, game days, the Fourth and nightly accent lighting.
