Where the eye lands when the roofline brings it down
Roofline lights outline the house. Greenery welcomes people to the door. A full, pre-lit wreath above the entry, lit garland wrapped around porch columns and draped along the railing, and wreaths in the front windows finish the display at eye level, where guests and neighbors actually look.
We use commercial-grade artificial greenery, dense and realistic, with built-in warm white LED lights, bows and accents chosen to match your display. It is installed with the roofline, powered through the same timers, maintained all season, removed in January and stored with your lights.
Where greenery goes
- Front door: a large wreath centered above or on the door, with garland framing the door if there is a surround.
- Columns and porch posts: garland spiraled from top to bottom, lit, with a bow at the top.
- Railings: garland swagged along the top rail of porches and steps.
- Windows: matched wreaths centered in upper or lower windows, especially on symmetrical two-stories and colonials.
- Gables and dormers: an oversized wreath centered under the peak of a gable makes a focal point on larger homes.
Why we use commercial greenery
Fresh greenery dries out and drops needles within weeks in Illinois wind, and the thin artificial garland sold in stores looks sparse from the street. Commercial greenery is dense enough to read as full from the sidewalk, holds its shape through wind and snow, and comes back looking the same year after year because we store it properly.

We just had our lights installed by Midwest Holiday Lighting on Thanksgiving day. We just called them and let them know we would like them to do our light install and they worked us in quickly.
