Permanent lighting in Decatur
Year-round roofline lighting, designed for Decatur homes
Permanent lighting is a natural fit for Decatur's lakefront and estate homes, where a seasonal install involves long rooflines and the reward for a year-round system is a lit home reflected on the lake every evening. It's equally popular in Forsyth and Mt. Zion, where newer construction tracks cleanly and families want game-day scenes ready at a tap.
Every Decatur-area system is installed by our own crew, color-matched to your trim, and backed by our five-year warranty.
You may have seen it called permanent outdoor lighting, roofline lights, eave lights or smart outdoor lights; it's the same app-controlled system. We are a licensed installer of Orca Smart Lighting, the best permanent lights in Central Illinois, and every Decatur system is backed by our 5-year warranty and serviced by the same local crew that installed it. Local knowledge
We know Decatur's homes
On South Shores lakefront homes we track both the street and lake-facing rooflines so the system shows from the water and the road. Forsyth and Mt. Zion two-stories get track along every front-facing roofline and the garage. Millikin families run blue and white, Mt. Zion Braves and Eisenhower Panthers families keep their colors saved, and Illini orange and blue is a Saturday favorite across the city. West End owners usually run a subtle warm white behind deep historic eaves.
Weather note for Decatur: Decatur's lakefront homes get wind and moisture off Lake Decatur, and the mature trees of the West End shed ice after storms. We use weather-sealed sockets, tight clips on lake-facing rooflines and route lines clear of drip points.

Our lights were amazing. Lights were done quickly and efficiently. When the season was over he was back to take them down just when he said he would. We have had him put our lights up for several years and will continue to! Highly recommended.

We just had our lights installed by Midwest Holiday Lighting on Thanksgiving day. We just called them and let them know we would like them to do our light install and they worked us in quickly. They were very friendly, knowledgeable, courteous, and patient. We love the holiday lighting they installed on our house and will use them for years to come. They provided all the materials, completed the install quickly, and will store the lights for us during the off season. I added the wreath last minute and they had all the supplies to install it. We could not be happier with Tom and his crew and the job they did installing our lights. Thank You Midwest Holiday Lighting for making our holidays feel more merry and our home look brighter! Enjoy!
